Who am I?
Hey, I’m Barbara – a photographer with heart, a motorcycle under my butt, a camera in my hand, and a pretty extraordinary resume.
For 27 years I was a detective. Yes, really. I watched people, recognized connections, read details – and that’s exactly what I use for my pictures today. Only much nicer.
Because now I don’t capture moments of suspicion, but real moments. Emotions. Closeness.
And that with a lot of gut feeling, empathy and an eye for the small gestures that others may not even notice.
My path to photography
Classic? Nope.
Planned? Not either.
But: exactly right.
I photographed concerts for Anastacia a while ago. That was my entry into the world behind the lens. Loud, intense, electrifying.
And then at some point came the moment when I wanted something different: more depth. More closeness. More real stories.
Weddings have it all: love, laughter, tears, chaos and pure emotion. And that’s exactly what I want to capture for you – as it really was.
I love weddings, the emotions, the moments – yes and they always catch me and then I’m really happy to be able to hide behind a camera when I shed a tear.
The person behind the camera is at least as important as the pictures themselves.

With over 130 weddings photographed, I know how different each day can be. Plans change. Emotions run high. Things don’t go as planned.

This is what it looks like when I do what I love: I give everything – even lie in the dirt, climb on walls and throw myself in the dust, if it brings the perfect angle. No effort is too great for my couples – the main thing is that the result is right.
Photos with feeling – not just snapped
I never come unprepared. Even before the shooting, I think about light, mood and possible perspectives. Because: Light is the key to every real shot. The location is just the stage – what counts is how you see it.
With fresh ideas, a lot of intuition and an eye for the real, pictures are created that are not just pretty, but tell your story – as it really was.
